The Division Resurgence: I did not see it coming, and yet I already know it will cost me hours
A free-to-play Division spin-off landing on Steam. I sank hundreds of hours into the first two, so let us just say I am watching this one closely.

Four brand-new biomes, twenty weapons, nine enemies, damage numbers at last: the 94% positive tactical roguelike treats itself to a hefty expansion.

If you missed Enter the Chronosphere, a quick catch-up: it is that turn-based roguelike from Effort Star, out in May, carrying a tidy 94% positive rating on Steam thanks to its clever way of blending calm reflection with real-time action. The game just got its Fractured Worlds update, and it does not settle for a couple of trinkets.

The big idea is the four new minor biomes. Fragments of other worlds that wedge themselves into the chronospheres and shake up your runs. On the menu: "Volcanic" and its magma divers, "Geometric", a realm of pure mathematics populated by hostile cubes, "Scrapheap", a galactic dump where the junk walks around and fires shrapnel at your face, and "Dunes", a rough desert full of sand raiders. The question the studio poses is rhetorical: will these new inhabitants be your friends or will they try to kill you? The studio's answer, with its trademark humor: they will try to kill you.
The rest follows, generously: four new minibosses, twenty weapons, nine enemies, nine missions and three gadgets. Special mention to the Gunboots, boots fitted with guns, because yes. There is also a fresh round of balancing on Era 2 enemies, which were soaking up far too much damage, and a Mad Doctor tuned to give more openings, especially to melee lovers.
Amid all this avalanche, one plain yet much-requested addition: damage numbers. You can finally see each attack's damage range, from the guaranteed minimum on a hit to the theoretical maximum. For a strategy game where every decision counts, no longer playing by guesswork is a genuine comfort. On top of that comes a "story" tab in the codex, to reread and replay dialogues and the intro cinematic.
The timing is no accident: the update lands during Steam Cyberpunk Fest, with the game marked 20% off all week. If you were looking for a reason to try this tactical roguelike, there is a nice spread of them. And the studio is already promising the next batch in two weeks, which says a lot about the pace of support. Enough to keep the chronospheres very much alive.
